GTA 6 Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Confirmed, the PC Question Tracked

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Will GTA 6 be on PC? That is the biggest unanswered platform question: no PC version has been announced, confirmed or denied. This page is the full platform matrix, including crossplay, PS5 Pro and everything that has never been part of any announcement.

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. That is the entire confirmed platform list: two console families, both on day one, full stop. Everything else on this page, starting with the PC question, is either officially unanswered or officially nonexistent.

Will GTA 6 be on PC?

No PC version has been announced. Not at Trailer 1 in December 2023, not at Trailer 2 in May 2025, not at pre-order launch in June 2026, and not as of September 20, 2026. There is no date, no "coming later" tease, and no denial either. Rockstar's publishing history (GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both arrived on PC well after consoles) makes a later PC release a reasonable expectation, but an expectation is not an announcement, and this wiki does not treat it as one.

What that means practically:

When Rockstar announces a PC version, if ever, this section becomes a dated entry and the matrix below gains a row.

⚠️ Unconfirmed. Crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S has not been announced. GTA Online historically launched platform-locked and added crossplay support in later generations of updates, but nothing official exists for GTA 6's online mode. Treat any crossplay claim as speculation until Rockstar says otherwise.

What we know about the online mode

An online component is expected to follow the game, in the GTA Online tradition, but its launch timing, name and crossplay support are all unannounced. The single fact that touches this page: the two launch platforms are the only confirmed hosts for the November 19, 2026 release. Everything about the online mode lands on this page the day it is officially said, not before.

Console storage and performance questions

Console file size, pre-load timing and performance targets (resolution, frame rate) have not been published. Those numbers usually arrive in the final weeks before launch, store listing by store listing. When they do, the system requirements page gets the console-side table and this page links to it. Until then: no number exists, and we do not print placeholders.
